Captain’s Charity: Broadwater Conservation Society (BCS)
Paul. I applaud your choice of charity. It is a very deserving cause that HAL BGS should support this year. Good luck with the fund raising from our members. Please announce the Captains Day event next week (after Alresford) to include your request for things to raffle/auction. Sadly I shall be in France for your big day and I will discuss with you at Alresford how we should fund the day and what prize money I can allocate to you. Best wishes.
Great to support a charity with such a specific task to help these children and adults. It’s worthwhile to support large charities, of course, but seems so much more special to help the lesser-known ones who don’t have huge overheads but, no doubt, have lots of unpaid volunteers. I hope you have a very successful year fundraising despite our limited numbers!
